Three people died early Saturday morning in the Paris suburbs when their car hit a tree in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, AFP learned from the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture. The other two occupants of the car were hospitalized with absolute urgency.
According to the Paris fire brigade (BSPP), the five occupants of the car were young people in their twenties.
The rain involved?
According to the first elements, the « wet road » could be involved, the rain having fallen Friday evening on the Île-de-France during Christmas Eve.
The accident occurred around 4:30 am, when the vehicle struck a tree on Boulevard Charles de Gaulle in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, a town in the north of Hauts-de-Seine. Forty firefighters were mobilized for the operation.
