Algerian football experienced a tragedy on Saturday during a second division match.
Algerian football mourns Sofiane Loukar. The defender and captain of MC Saïda (Algerian D2) died on Saturday during the championship match against ASM Oran. The 30-year-old, treated after a shock to the head, returned to the pitch before losing consciousness a few minutes later (35e).

Sofiane Loukar did not present any contraindication to the practice of high level football, added the president of the League.
