Amazon launches Spider-Man: No Way Home pre-orders on 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray
Among all the more or less long-term consequences of this damn pandemic, the cinema, if it has already left many feathers, may well never resemble what we have known until now. Between the closings of theaters, postponements of releases, traffic jams to reschedule films and the SVOD services that get involved, the famous media chronology has been totally upset in recent months, and it is the cinema which unfortunately in bears the brunt.
If in France, until now, a film was protected by a predefined cycle of the theatrical release genre, 4 to 6 months later release on DVD / Blu Ray, 6 months still after broadcast on Canal +, from 22 to 30 months ‘waiting for the “unencrypted” channels, then finally the SVOD platforms which must wait between 17 and 36 months after the theatrical release depending on the agreements and various funding. However, this should move soon and there is talk of an exit on Canal + after 6 months and a broadcast on SVOD services after only 15 months. This greatly worries the operators of cinemas who are afraid that the public will no longer make the effort to come.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is weaving its web and is already opening for pre-orders
The United States were the first to take the plunge and thus allowed the studios to release their films initially planned for the cinema directly, or simultaneously, on their SVOD platforms (Mulan on Disney +, Dune or Matrix Resurection on HBO Max, etc.). A purely economic choice, which deprives people of the pleasure of going to the cinema and above all which endangers distributors and cinema operators who are deprived of part of their audience.
Nevertheless, the latest releases are encouraging for “physical” cinema, like Dune, Matrix Resurrections or especially this Spider-Man: No Way Home which is breaking all records and which should undoubtedly become the most big success in the history of Marvel in front of Avengers: Endgame and which could even tickle the indebted Avatar which still sits at the top of the ranking of the biggest successes in the history of world cinema since 2009.
Obviously we will not reveal anything of the film here, but we can only advise you to go see it at the cinema, and if possible in IMAX 3D if you have an equipped room near you, this is undoubtedly the best version. of the film, you will have a good time and you will continue to bring the cinema to life.
If you’re as excited as we are to review the excellent Spider-Man: No Way Home, you can pre-order the 4K Ultra HD edition on Amazon for € 35 and receive a bonus SteelBook case as a bonus. The release is scheduled for April 15, 2022.
