Christmas bonus: the new beneficiaries of social minima will receive it at the beginning of January

The first payments were made in mid-December.

If the Christmas bonus was paid in mid-December to most French people entitled to it, some have to wait a little longer. The new beneficiaries of social minima – from December – will receive this aid at the beginning of January.

This is stated by the Family Allowance Fund (Caf) on its site. It is she who, together with Pôle emploi and the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA), distributes this premium, implemented in 1998. It is reserved for recipients of the RSA, the specific solidarity allowance (ASS), the premium lump sum for resumption of activity and the equivalent retirement allowance (AER).

For beneficiaries of ASS, the lump sum for resumption of activity or the AER, its amount is lump sum and amounts to 152.45 euros. On the other hand, for beneficiaries of the RSA, its amount varies according to the composition of the household. A single person without children will receive for example 152.45 euros, while a couple with two children will be entitled to 320.14 euros. This assistance is paid automatically, without any action to be taken to receive it.
