The Cambridges celebrated Christmas as a family. On Sunday Kate, William and their three children George, Charlotte and Louis drove to the traditional Christmas mass at St Mary Magdalene Church, which is on the Sandringham Estate, owned by Queen Elizabeth II. If the latter stayed at home and could not participate in the festivities because of the risks associated with covid-19, she was joined in her Windsor Castle by her son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, indicates the magazine « People « .

William and Kate posted a social media post on Sunday, saying, “This Christmas is going to be different than many of us had planned. From those who are alone or must remain in isolation, away from their loved ones, to the incredible people who support our healthcare system and care for those in need, we have you on your mind, ”they wrote. In photos of their outing to church, William can be seen driving, in a shirt, jacket and tie, while Kate wears a plaid jacket and feathered hat. The three children, with Charlotte seated between her brothers, were pictured staring out the window from the backseat as they returned home to Anmer Hall.

In addition to a moving statement from the Queen confident how much she missed her husband Prince Philip, who died last April, this Christmas was also marked by a big concert hosted by Kate Middleton, in which she performed of the piano during a television broadcast. Elegant in a red outfit, the Duchess of Cambridge dazzled spectators with her grace, as she accompanied singer Tom Walker.
